The Himalaya
region is well-known for it's possibilities to make some of the world most
beautiful treks. There are excellent trekking
possibilities in Nepal, China, Tibet, India
(incl Sikkim) and Pakistan. A couple of the most popular treks in the

the most well known treks for the scenes with several remote lakes
and is mostly recommended in Bhutan. It is a six-day trek but it is
possible to shorten the trek to four days however, you need to walk
for more than eight hours a day. It is a short trek but it still
goes to a high altitude, making it moderately strenuous. |

7 days trek from Paro to the Jumolhari base
camp at Jangothang. For the return journey there are two
alternatives: returning via the same route or by a different trail
to Paro. The view of Jumolhari mountain (7314 metres) from
Jangothang is spectacular. It is very likely that you will encounter
Yaks. |

Bumthang Cultural Trek |
Bhumthang Cultural Trek is a 3 days short trek that requires
strength to climb 500 m to Phephe La. It is called Bumthang Cultural
trek as many villages and Lhakhangs (temples) come across its path.
So, the trekker has more opportunity to learn about cultures of many
villages. The trek has suspension bridges to cross, clear streams
and rivers like Duer Chhu as well as Bumthang Chhu give refreshing
feeling for the trekker. |
