Tiger leaping gorge trek

Tiger Leaping Gorge is
a deep canyon on the Yangtze River some 60 km north of Lijiang City, Yunnan province, China. Around 15 km in length, the gorge is
located where the river passes between 5.596m Jade Dragon Snow
Mountain and 5,396 m Haba Xueshan in a series of rapids under steep
2000 metre cliffs. Legend says that in order to escape from a
hunter, a tiger jumped across the river at the narrowest point,
hence the name. Tiger Leaping Gorge is a contender for the world's
deepest river canyon The gorge is about 16km long and it takes about
2 days to hike the most beautiful part. |

Trekking along Nujiang River and Dulongjiang
River |
The
Dulongjiang trek is an extraordinary trekking in the more remote
western part of the Yunnan province in China. The valley of the
Dulong River is close to the borders of Burma and Tibet, sandwiched
between two North-South mountain ranges and home to the ethnic
minorities of Dulong(Drung), Nu, Lisu.

Lugu Lake to Yading Trek |
Yading
is located in western Sichuan and used to be part of Kham Tibet. The
Tibetans regards the three high peaks (Chenresig (Avalokitesvara),
Jambeyang (Manjusri) and Chanadorje (Vajrapani) of around 6000
meters as holy mountains.
The trek from Lake Lugu to Yading is one of the most beautiful
trekking routes in China. You can combine the trip with visits to
Lijiang and Chengdu among other places
